The heroine in the book is someone I find difficult to sympathize with throughout the entire story. She missed several opportunities to control her own destiny. She always reacted passively when encountering problems, seldom took the initiative to plan, and acted recklessly and without consideration. Perhaps it is because the work is old, and as an ancient novel, there are inevitably some omissions in the character creation, but this immature and transparent character ultimately made it difficult for me to like it. I only felt regretful and a bit alienated that I could not let go of. The heroine was more like a well-behaved and rebellious kitten to him. He doted on her when she was cute, but forced to keep her when she ran away. Such emotions mixed with selfish desires and control are never purely sincere. Compared with Cao Cao's hypocrisy and paranoia, the character of Sima Zhao made me feel full of heartache. His life was full of twists and turns, and he was caught up in the maelstrom of power in troubled times, but he always retained a rare purity. From the beginning to the end, he has been devoted to the heroine, silently protecting her and giving her wholeheartedly. No matter how the world changes, no matter what difficulties he finds himself in, his original intention has never changed. In this troubled world where everyone is fighting for themselves, such unreserved and consistent tenderness and perseverance are so rare. Even with the affectionate settings of ancient novels, it still touches the heart. This unadulterated care, this unchanging sincerity in troubled times, made me sincerely respect him, and I also felt a rare warmth in this cold story. Among the whole book, the one I love and appreciate the most is Zhuge Kongming. In the book, he is a handsome scholar as gentle as jade, with a gentle and virtuous temperament, a broad mind, the wisdom of strategizing, and a temperament as gentle as jade, which satisfied all my beautiful imaginations about this character. It's just that for me, it's a bit inconsistent for such a person who has the world at heart, has great ambitions, and cares about his family, country, and the world all his life to fall deeply in love with his children and fall in love with the heroine. This emotional setting makes it difficult for me to be completely convinced. But even so, it can't cover up the light in him. His gentleness, transparency, generosity and character all moved me extremely, making him my favorite and most unforgettable character in the whole book. Although this ancient novel has shortcomings in character creation and plot setting, it fully describes the various aspects of human nature in troubled times. Some people are lost in selfish desires and treat possession as deep affection; some people stick to it in disputes and keep their original intentions; some people are gentle and transparent, with their own light. After closing the book, I am still full of emotions. True feelings and false intentions, original intentions and selfish desires, in the troubled world, I can finally see it very clearly.
