Meng Po Thinks About Quitting Every Day

(Six short stories, one per installment. Sweet at first, then bittersweet.)

She was once a carrot on the verge of becoming an immortal, but after her beloved died and she accidentally drank a potion that erased her memories of love, she came to the Underworld on Chang'e's recommendation and became Meng Po.

Every day, surrounded by all kinds of ghosts and listening to their stories, she adored the romances of the mortal world and longed to experience one herself.

But the King of Hell wouldn't approve her request. After a long wait, her memories came flooding back: it turned out her heart already belonged to someone.
