Born and raised in Zhao Village in South City, Zhao Momo finally got into a top university in North City. As the pride and hope of the whole village, she was sent off to the north in a whirlwind of excitement.

Dressed head to toe in designer labels and speaking in a thick country accent, she stepped out of North City Airport and laid eyes on Pei Xiao, a man so handsome he seemed out of this world.

“Hey, this guy… ah, I mean, this handsome hunk! So stylish. I really like him…”

But the road to winning his heart was long.

Zhao Momo grimaced. “Hey, don’t they say it’s easy for a girl to win a guy over? Is that really just a thin veil? I think he’s wearing an impenetrable golden armor!”

Her best friend, Zhang Ziyi, gave her a sympathetic look. “Momo, maybe… we should just stop chasing him?”
