The Chongqing Negotiations were a historic meeting held in Chongqing between the Communist Party of China and the Kuomintang of China on China's future development prospects and construction plans on the occasion of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. From August 29 to October 10, 1945, after 43 days of negotiations, the Kuomintang and the Communist Party reached the "Minutes of Talks between Government and Communist Party Representatives", known as the "Double Ten Agreement."
