[Mid-length Novel Contest Entry] Chen Shanshan always presents herself as bright, charming, and easy to get along with. She has fooled more people than she can count.
Yan Juan is refined and elegant, with a pair of especially captivating eyes, but beneath that facade he's a poisonous flower perched on a high, unreachable cliff.
When sharp-tongued, easygoing Chen Shanshan meets the caustic, finicky Yan Juan, sparks fly. Not sparks of romance, but sparks of war!
Wherever the two of them go, it's a battlefield of flashing blades and clashing swords.
When Chen Shanshan tries to persuade Yan Juan:
“Do you think you've done a good job managing your relationships with your employees as a boss?”
“An excellent job,” he replies, completely calm and confident.
“Then why has nobody ever bought you milk tea?” Chen Shanshan asks smugly, holding up the drink someone gave her.
Yan Juan looks at her as if she's an idiot. “Because milk tea isn't good enough for me. I only drink coffee.”
But just as Chen Shanshan gets used to the two of them bickering and trying to outdo each other, she discovers one day that he's developed feelings he shouldn't have. Terrified, she runs away.
“Trying to escape?” Yan Juan corners her against the wall. His peach-blossom eyes leave her utterly spellbound.
“No, no!” Chen Shanshan immediately contradicts herself, shaking her head like a rattle drum.
“Good. You know what's good for you.” Yan Juan chuckles softly, his final syllable leaving her head spinning.
Then their shadows intertwine, their bodies pressed together in a passionate embrace.
When we met, we fought poison with poison
The ending was so rushed, I wanted to think about the extra chapter 1, it felt like it was unfinished, I hope to see the extra chapter and see their life after marriage
Is this the end??? I strongly requested to continue writing, and suddenly I fell in love with this kind of short novel. After reading it, I gave people a faint aftertaste.
It's a pity that there is no ending and it's a bit hasty. But it's still possible. I hope everyone can meet their own "Yan Juan" and "Chen Shanshan" in real life.
The ending is too rushed, but the content is very good
Can the author make up for the wedding? After all, the entire bridal chamber was a night of flowers and candles!!!
The structure of the story is good, but there are too few parts where the two fall in love, and some details feel long-winded.
It's quite good to watch, the plot is novel and not draggy, and the ending is a bit rushed.
It's very well written, very humorous, and very relevant to reality.
Ah, I really want to watch the extra episode
The ending is a bit rushed
