Li Qingmeng is an ordinary college student in modern China, a good young person who upholds the Five Virtues and Four Beauties. She’s positive and optimistic, though sensitive and insecure about certain things. Just an average person.
Liu Xinghe grew up in a happy family and has plenty of advantages. He’s openhearted, cheerful, and considerate. His parents are deeply devoted to each other, which has made him take romantic relationships very seriously and approach them with the utmost care.
The main story follows Li Qingmeng and Liu Xinghe from meeting and getting to know each other to staying together. Along the way, it charts their growth from campus life into the working world, the fun of their everyday lives, and all the little steps they take as they work hard to put down roots in the city.
“Drunk, I knew not the sky was in the water; a boatful of lucid dreams pressed down on Xinghe.” Qingmeng and Xinghe seem destined to meet, and to share a story together.
I wrote this story to remind everyone never to lose hope for a beautiful life or give up pursuing sincere love. Though mountains and seas may lie between those who love each other, they can still be crossed. When two people choose each other, it is fate. This is a one-on-one romance with no love rivals, just the everyday fun between the two of them. It may be a little slice-of-life.
