Synopsis

Concubine Yang Guifei (719-756), named Yuhuan, was the daughter of Yang Xuanyan. Yang Yuhuan was outspoken and lively by nature, good at singing and dancing, proficient in music, and had an extraordinary appearance, so he became famous in Luoyang. Later, she was canonized as Princess Shou and married into the royal family. The common artistic language between Yang Yuhuan and Emperor Li Longji of the Tang Dynasty gave rise to a sincere love, and both could not extricate themselves. Later, Yang Yuhuan was summoned to the Taoist temple in the palace in the name of Empress Dowager Dou's blessing, and was named Taizhen. In the first year of Tianbao (742), she was enshrined as a noble concubine. After the Anshi Rebellion broke out, Tang Xuanzong fled in a panic. In Ma Zhenpo, Yang Yuhuan died due to the mutiny of the imperial army. A noble concubine was hanged to death in a Buddhist hall at the age of thirty-eight.
