Journey to the West: Beginning with the Investiture of the Gods

Journey to the West + immortal and Buddha fantasy + an imagination that knows no bounds. Wang Xiaole, a fan of Journey to the West, unexpectedly arrives in its world.

But he soon discovers that this world is nothing like the one he knows.

The four masters and disciples, along with the White Dragon Horse, have already been made Buddhas by the Buddha. How is he supposed to witness Havoc in Heaven, or see demons vanquished?

Not only that, but after looking into it, he learns that they have never made a pilgrimage for scriptures or fought any demons.

Nothing from Journey to the West has ever happened.

After a great deal of trouble, the Buddha sends all five of them to the Great Tang in the Eastern Land with the Eight Heavenly Books to spread the Dharma.

The pilgrimage may have fallen through, but delivering the scriptures is fine too. Still, Wang Xiaole can't shake the feeling that something is wrong.

After thinking it over for a long time, he finally figures it out: if they're delivering the scriptures, doesn't that mean Journey to the West has been turned upside down?
