Su An is the legitimate daughter of the Marquis of Kangning. Born with a birthmark on her face, she is disliked by everyone in the marquis’s household. Only her mother, Lady Lin, stands up for her. At a palace banquet, someone plots against her and takes her virtue. Afterward, Su An discovers that she is pregnant, though she has no idea who the father is. Because of this, Su An and Lady Lin are thrown out of the Marquis of Kangning’s household for good. Fortunately, they are taken in by Su Wu, a hunter from Tong’an Prefecture, and so they survive.
Having come this far, Su An resolves to rely on herself instead of others, and make a life for herself and her family, including the little bunny. “That cold-faced prince, I’m very ugly,” Su An says.
“I don’t mind,” the cold-faced prince replies calmly.
“I’m carrying another man’s child,” Su An says helplessly.
“I don’t mind,” the cold-faced prince replies, still unruffled.
“Besides, how do you know the child isn’t mine?”
Watch how Su An opens a shop and supports herself, eventually becoming the empress of the Great Zhao dynasty. Just wait until everyone who looked down on her regrets it.
