Song of the Phantom Realm

It was as if all the sacrifices of the past had never happened, as if the warmth they once shared had withered away. She could only watch him leave, unable to follow or hold on. So, while I too was trapped inside these walls of my own making, I made a vow that would cross the stars and oceans. Yet this defiant resolve alone delayed the gods’ hopes.

This meaningless poem of illusions went on from the end of time, until one century perished and another began. And the gods’ powerless accusations would have to wait until this world fell apart and another bore their weight.

Everything began because of you, and everything ended because of you.

Goodbye, my love. One last time, in the name of God.
