Entrusted with a lavish reward by Old Master Long, the local rescue team led by Li Hao joins forces with top international search-and-rescue experts to form a joint team. They venture deep into the Kumtag Desert to search for the missing Young Master Long, who has been gone for days.
Across the vast sea of sand, they outwit prehistoric giant salamanders, set fire to gold-eating ants, battle coiled dragon scorpions, and break through the mesmerizing formations and demonic sound drums created by the people of Loulan. Every step is perilous and heart-pounding.
Legends forgotten for a thousand years turn out to be entangled with decades of feuds between powerful families! Friend or foe is impossible to tell, and even the closest relationships are shrouded in doubt!
What's more terrifying: the endless monsters, or the unfathomable human heart?
Open this story and explore the bizarre, enigmatic world hidden deep in the desert!
In the end, no one knew what was inside the cave, but Lao Lin's departure really caught me off guard. In just a few decades, how many people depended on each other for life and death! I cannot bear to see the tears when parting, not because I am not strong enough, but because I am a person of flesh and blood!
If you like short stories, this is great. There are some unreasonable parts in the middle, but if you read the novel and like the plot and characters, that's fine. Don't be too demanding, and it's not an academic conference.
I just like to read short stories like this, which are similar to the writing style of Ghost Blowing Out the Lamp, which is very good. Judging from the ending, there should be a second part.
