This book is really good! It explains the relationship between depression and the brain in an easy-to-understand way and provides many practical tips. I especially liked the mention of neuroplasticity in the book, which taught me that we can reshape brain circuits by changing our thoughts and behaviors. And, author Dr. Alex Cobb is like a dear friend, sharing his expertise and personal experiences. However, I kind of hate that character who is always pessimistic and negative. I hope he can learn the methods in the book soon and become positive!
I'm so glad I found this book. It's ostensibly for people with depression, but it's very helpful for all of us. The language of this book is humorous and interesting, it uses a lot of analogies (and analogies are a very good way of understanding), and it is theoretically supported, so it is not a chicken soup book. Moreover, this book has the shadow of many other books, such as The Paradox of Choice, The Psychology of Procrastination, The Boundaries of Growth, etc. If you read these books, it will further promote the interconnection and understanding of the knowledge in these books. If you have not read these books, this book can be an introduction to them.
How lucky to meet you
A very good book that analyzes and solves problems from the essence of science
Very timely and very scientific way to help patients with depression
It is simply the love letter of my dreams! Useful and can learn a lot
I have watched most of it. I am a patient with moderate to severe depression.
It feels quite reasonable. The first half explains from a neurobiological perspective that depression is caused by a vicious cycle and how to avoid it. The second half tells us how to create a virtuous cycle from both the principles and methods.
I haven't finished the second half yet, and I haven't tried it yet. I'll try it for a week and let you know the effect every day.
Highly recommended for people suffering from negative psychology
Super good, super good, it gives the method of forward circulation from many angles, very good, very good, very good, very good, full score, 10,000 points, very good, very good
Is the author releasing a new book? I can't find such a good book
Great, this is used to make up the words
Thank you for writing this book
It turns out there is a problem with [thinking] brain circuitry
