This book attempts to reproduce the ins and outs, onset cycle and course of the financial plague that began in 1929. The author observes and describes from all angles of society: from unemployed workers in bustling cities to disaster-stricken farmers fleeing the "Dust Basin", from helpless elderly people to exploited child laborers, from poor sharecroppers in the Midwest to intellectual elites on the East Coast... It comprehensively demonstrates the impact of the economic crisis on American society, as well as the process of people's own healing during the economic crisis.

I'll watch it in 2024. I'm surprised that I didn't watch it earlier. But if I watch it too early, I won't be able to cover up anything with my pig brain.
It was the first time I watched an American analyze American history, and I had a lot of feelings.
Sure enough, the more information you know, the more profound you can analyze the problem.
This book very realistically shows the social scene of the Great Depression. I especially like the people in the book who are struggling to cope with life's difficulties, especially women, who remain strong despite difficult circumstances and work hard for their lives and families. This tenacity and unyielding spirit are admirable. At the same time, this book also made me understand the history of that era better, which was very enlightening.
History always repeats itself, but the protagonists change. Life is limited, and you may not be able to experience every historical stage personally. The present is a certain stage of history. Grasp it, cherish it, welcome it, and do what you should do.

Very good book, highly recommended!
The writing is very good, restoring the state of the United States during the Great Depression. The last chapter is the most exciting? !
