Happiness Pay

People in modern cities are becoming materially better off, yet they feel less and less secure. Gu Pan, an unmarried woman whose parents divorced and who grew up without affection, decides to reclaim the sense of security she has gradually lost over her twenty-eight years by buying a home of her own. But once she moves into her own place, she still finds herself longing for a warm and loving life. A home is more than just a house: only a place filled with warmth can truly be called home. Du Qinghan, a busy urban executive who has gone through two painful breakups, gave up on love long ago. He thought that if he stopped investing in relationships, he could no longer get hurt. His cold, domineering manner is like a snail's shell, hiding his vulnerable heart completely. He always thought he could lead a quiet life by marrying a plain, honest woman from out of town. But after all his searching, he picked the wrong one: Gu Pan, the little dumpling he chose, dumped him on the eve of their wedding.
