The story is set in Wuzhen more than 80 years ago. It tells the life story of Chen Zilan, the daughter of the Chen family, and creates a group of vivid characters in the ancient town, including a noble young master and a loyal and simple old woman. It also mixes the love, hate and resentment of the Chen, Wen and Zhang families, and writes a heart-stirring history of joys and sorrows for the dreamy water town of that era - Wuzhen.
