The nine-tailed cat once ruled the demon realm with a fearsome presence. But even the best horse can stumble: after a thousand years sealed away, she awakens to find the world transformed. When she meets a “monster” even more domineering than herself, the nine-tailed cat’s spirits soar. Determined to conquer this bewitching “monster,” she challenges him again and again. One day, she rushes home and, just after taking human form, crashes straight into the “monster.” The tall man glares at her ominously. “Who are you?” The nine-tailed cat grabs his face and blinks. “I’m your esteemed cat!”
