The Harem Returns to Life

This novel describes the story of Bi Yu, a scholar who failed the scientific examination and was defrauded of all his family property. He accidentally became an eunuch but wanted to rediscover his roots as a man. At first glance, the whole book is full of absurd humor. The book contains both the author's detailed description of the urban wells of the capital and a careful study of the "yang-returning medicine". The plot of the book is so interesting that you won't want to put it down after reading it. However, if you read it carefully, you can still see the cruelty of reality. The ending of the story is unrealistic. The protagonist leaves his hometown and the concubine dies. The author shows the supremacy of imperial power at that time, the lowliness of ordinary people's lives and the cruelty of fate.

Because he didn't want to do the same job as an uneducated person, he went to find his brother Bi Xiaosi. The toilet here that left the most profound impact on Bi Yu in the capital was Therefore, not only could there be no clean toilets, but people were also used to defecating on the street. This made Bi Yu yearn for life in the palace and wanted to work in the palace. With the help of Bi Xiaosi, he successfully entered the palace and became a eunuch. On the one hand, he yearned for the palace, and on the other hand, he was sad about being stabbed. The protagonist has a distinct image, and the story is vivid and interesting.

A humorous novel with some dark humor. Scholar Bi Yu accidentally entered Kangxi's palace and became a eunuch. He was bullied in his early days and met the concubine Shu in the cold palace. The two formed a deep friendship while supporting each other. Therefore, Bi Yu began to plan a plan to return to the world. This book is quite good, but the plot is a bit hard to accept.

I especially like the character Bi Yu. Although he has encountered many misfortunes, he still remains optimistic and kind. I also hate my brothers of the same race, they are so bad! However, the character of Concubine Shu is also very likable, and the interaction between her and Bi Yu is very interesting. Overall, this is a novel worth reading and I recommend it to you!

This book brings together many stories of misfortune and laughter, which may seem absurd, but in the context of the ancient palace, everything seems possible. The numerous scene descriptions create vivid characters, either serious or absurd, serious or joyful. The novel fully integrates these and presents a hilarious story. During the period, after many unexpected turns, the experience of the scholar Bi Yu constitutes this wonderful novel.
