Don't Be Afraid, Girl, You've Got Your Uncle

He is the king of Xia City. One stomp of his foot is enough to send the whole city into a panic. She is Tang Xiaotang, a scatterbrained girl struggling to survive in the cracks. His interest in her isn't an accident, but a calculated move. He always plays the lamb, yet lets her witness the wolf's ferocity. After he has his way with her, he even tells her innocently, "You have to take responsibility for me." She tosses him an agreement and heads across the ocean. Take responsibility for you? Not a chance! His call comes from across the sea: "You think you can run?"

"I ran, so what?"

"What am I supposed to do if you run away? I can't sleep unless you come over tonight."

The call is still connected, but his voice comes from just outside her door. She trembles in fear and turns to leave, only for him to grab her by the back of the collar. "Where are you going?"
