The End of Time

A collection of ten exciting science fiction short stories, featuring time travel, future technology, interstellar exploration, the colonization of Mars, alien civilizations, and more. In this book, J.J. Green uses ten distinct themes and seasoned prose to create ten fascinating future worlds. Rather than simply showcasing science fiction concepts, J.J. Green focuses on storytelling and atmosphere. The ten stories each have a different style. “Sometime in the Future,” for example, explores the classic science fiction theme of time travel. It tells of Chris, a female soldier chosen for a mission to transmigrate into the future, only to discover that human civilization has long since vanished for some unknown reason. “Red Ochre” uses masterful atmosphere to tell of a strange dream experienced by Ying Qi, a geologist on Mars. At first glance, “Lorraine of the World” might seem like a fantasy story: here, the world is divided in two, between the realm above the clouds and the realm below them.
