Report, Chief Eunuch: Your General Is Pregnant Again

After winning battle after battle, young general Ling Guse returns to the capital, only for it to come out that she is a woman disguised as a man. The handsome, dashing youth in fine clothes is actually a delicate young lady yet to be married. The news sends the court and capital into an uproar, shattering countless young hearts. Officials are itching to impeach her, but Baili Xuan, the powerful and notorious Eunuch of Nine Thousand Years, petitions for permission to marry her. When that fails, he calmly asks to be “married into her family,” brandishing an imperial decree and insisting that he and the young general become a married couple. Ling Guse wants no part of it. “Hah! I’ve spent my whole life building a spotless reputation. Why would I get mixed up with a corrupt official and ruin it? Besides, he’s a eunuch who can’t perform as a man. What good is being handsome?” After court that day, Ling Guse corners Baili Xuan in a palace corridor. “I’m breaking off the engagement!” The notorious official raises an eyebrow. “Why? I’m very fond of you, General.” The young general glares. “You can’t perform as a man!” Baili Xuan’s refined, handsome features draw into a thoughtful frown. “Perhaps the young general should come home with me and discuss this.” The next day, the court is in an uproar: General Ling, usually full of energy, has called in sick. According to reliable sources, her illness is caused by a sore waist. Meanwhile, as the First Corrupt Official massages Ling Guse’s waist himself, she questions everything she knows. “Who said this guy couldn’t perform? He’s far too good at it!”
