"Logical empiricism" represented by the Vienna Circle was once popular in the world's intellectual circles in the twentieth century. Yin Haiguang is one of the scholars deeply influenced by this wave of academic thought. This book is the result of his long-term study. It explains in detail the concepts that are easily confused by ordinary beginners and the principles that are difficult to understand, leading readers into the world of logical research.
While studying as a graduate student at Tsinghua University with Mr. Jin Yuelin, Mr. Yin Haiguang wrote "Logic Speech". This book was ingenious and used an original dialogue style. It was like a family routine and tried to popularize profound logic. It was widely recognized after it was released. Later, Mr. Yin Haiguang wrote "New Introduction to Logic" based on "Logic Speech" and the handout version. It still used a dialogue style. A teacher chatted with two students. The teacher was instructive and the students listened.
This book is step-by-step, explains the profound in simple terms, is clear and easy to understand, and focuses on strict inference training and logic application functions, so that logic beginners can avoid boring learning.

This can be said to be partly the product of the author's experience in logic teaching. Thirteen years ago, the author tried to write an introductory book on logic in a conversational style. Comparing the marketing numbers of similar books, it turns out that the author's use of conversational style to write such books is in line with general needs. After coming to Taiwan, the author taught this lesson again, but that book is out of print. In response to the needs of teaching, the author wrote another handout in the dialogue style, which was mimeographed by the school. The content is improved compared to the previous book. After the lecture notes were printed, they were put away for another four years and the author did not use them again.
The exploration of truth, goodness and beauty in human life first originates from the search for truth; the fashion trends, prejudices and customs that appear in an era may not be true. Only by rationally and prudently searching for answers through logical reasoning can we get closer to the truth. Of course, this road is not easy. Young people must experience fallacy and lonely exploration along the way; and this booklet gives us the ability to explore and think independently when imparting knowledge. In this multi-authority era, people often regard irrelevance as relevant and are self-centered, but often fail to judge right and wrong. I hope this booklet can play a role in clarifying the essence of the problem.
Highly recommended! Logic is unfamiliar to most people. This book uses easy-to-understand language, vivid examples, and dialogue to tell everyone the principles of logic. By studying this book, I not only understand logical knowledge, but also make myself aware not to fall into logical misunderstandings. This has greatly improved my logical thinking ability. This book is worth reading again and again, because you may not be able to understand it at one time, and you need to think more to understand these principles.
Right and wrong is an important question that we encounter all the time in our lives. Understanding the basic principles of logical thinking and judgment can help us effectively improve the logic of thinking and the ability to distinguish right from wrong. In this book, the author introduces the basic concepts, principles and methods of logical thinking to help readers understand the basic rules of logical reasoning and argumentation. It also explains how to make correct judgments, distinguish right from wrong, and avoid logical fallacies and thinking biases. By learning the basic principles and methods of logical thinking, readers can more accurately judge the right and wrong of things and improve their thinking ability and decision-making level.
So beautiful, book of truth
Learning and applying is not enough
Morality is a category of motivation, science is a category of cognition, so insightful
Morality is a matter of motivation, science is the result of cognition
