As the editor said, this is not a professional historical material. It is like a blind man trying to grasp an elephant. It has a biased view of ancient architecture and ancient social background.
Therefore, this book is not suitable for readers who want to have a rough understanding of the professional knowledge of ancient architecture, and I feel that it is not suitable for professionals to study, but it is just right for people like me who read casual books.
Rather than treating it as a book related to architecture, it is better to read it as a book on humanities and social sciences. It is not long in length and the drawings are quite rigorous. It can be read simply as an old photo, which is also interesting.
I'd give it 4 to 5 stars. To be honest, I really disagree with the fallacies and arguments in it. If you want to learn knowledge, don't be misled by this book. But considering the background, five stars is not a bad idea.
