I’m the Protagonist in a Book

The most miserable protagonist in history, his grand venture collapsing halfway through.

"Nine Heavens Divine Thunder, destroy them all! Ha ha ha!"

Some no-name, shameless hack tapped away at his keyboard, letting out a sinister laugh in his dark basement.

But the very next day, the moment he stepped outside, a righteous bricklayer knocked him flat.

When the hack awoke, tears of regret streamed down his face.

"I don't want to be this protagonist!"
