Southern Zhou, the third year of the Yan Feng era. When Emperor Yan Feng first ascended the throne, he was already nineteen. Yet even back when he was still a prince, he had shown little interest in government affairs. The late emperor died suddenly, departing this world before even appointing a crown prince. The throne was inherited by the eldest legitimate son, not the most virtuous, and no matter how dissatisfied the court officials were, they had to abide by this old rule. That was how Emperor Yan Feng was pushed onto the throne. As soon as he became emperor, he established the Eastern Depot, appointed Xue Yu as Grand Commandant, and granted him the authority to execute first and report later. The Eastern Depot persecuted loyal officials, slaughtered people, and wiped out entire families. Its director, Xue Yu, was known as a treacherous minister who killed without batting an eye...
The story is relatively short. I couldn't stop reading it late at night and kept following it all night. This Danmei novel is very different from the previous Danmei novels. There are fewer cars and less meat. It cannot be said to be clear soup with little water, but pure water. The story feels more like listening to someone retelling a simple story. There are not too many details, but miraculously I still understand it. At the end, I feel sour and astringent, but I can't shed tears. By reading between the lines, It seems that the relationship between the scholar and the governor can be felt, but in the last few chapters, the scholar seems to have some unclear relationship with the emperor, but it still makes people feel uncomfortable at the end. There is not too much heartbreaking life and death. A simple sentence symbolizes the yin and yang of the two people in the book. Although they have not stated their feelings between them, everything is unspoken. May people have an afterlife, and may memories reincarnate, and the regrets left in the previous life can be made up for in the next life. Lovers in the world will finally get married, regardless of status or gender.
It's cold, don't catch cold. This is Xue Yu's love for the scholar!... Although the ending is not good, please don't abandon the article, thank you... I don't like to watch the slightly cruel ones. There are not many cars, not much meat, and I burst into tears at the end. If you don't like it, don't complain.
After reading it, I felt that the Governor was not dead. The third to last paragraph felt like it was hinting at something.
I said that I was really upset... Is there any follow-up or something... A spin-off would be fine... To be honest, this novel is really my favorite. Like other novels, there is no excessive description of how powerful the protagonist is. It's very ordinary, but it's not ordinary either. They don't have a grand love, but they fall in love and remember each other throughout their lives. This is very nice! But it's also very frustrating!
It's really unbearable.
The author's writing style is skillful, interweaving power and emotion, the story has twists and turns, the characters are vivid, and it has a sense of historical imagery. Following the ups and downs of the official life of the scholar, rising step by step and experiencing many lives and deaths with the governor of Dongchang, I finally couldn't escape my fate. I always felt a little regretful that they should not have separated like this. I hope the author can give them a happy ending and turn things around.
When the general told the scholar about the death of the governor, I knew that this article would be very sad🌚🌚
In the end, the scholar is still like the governor
I thought it was a perfect ending, but I was wrong, but it's pretty good.
