Bai Ruoshui is the third legitimate daughter of the General’s Estate in the Great Zhou Kingdom. After one disaster after another strikes her family, she puts on armor, hefts a greatsword, and enlists in the army in her younger brother’s place. Once as beautiful as a celestial maiden, she gets so sunburned she turns pitch-black and walks with her feet turned out like a gruff old man. Before long, she becomes the legendary God of War General. Seven years later, the God of War General returns to the imperial capital with an adorable child as pretty as a doll. Everyone gossips: Who is the child’s mother? Why has the God of War General run off with a child? Then one day, the General’s older sister is about to be married. The adorable child looks at the God of War General and asks, “Mother, are you getting married, or is Uncle? Are you going to keep pretending?”
