I feel that the whole book is a watershed, adding a plot of pretending to be a slap in the face. In the first chapter, the male protagonist has so much fun with his ex-girlfriend that he doesn't know how to date other women when he meets them. He hides his identity every day and goes to a new place to get slapped in the face.
