More than ten years have passed since the Battle of the Summit. The Dark Elf tribe has withdrawn from the world and sworn to stay out of its affairs, while the demon race and its allies have vanished from the continent of Azeroth, sealed away on Forgotten Island. The inhabitants of the other races on the continent have also ceased fighting one another, and an atmosphere of peace has once again, for now, settled over the land. Azeroth has returned to calm.
