A Touch of Green from Ancient Times

Wusheng is extremely protective of her life. Since childhood, she has been determined to live until her hair turns white and her face is covered in wrinkles. She practices light-footedness and the art of running away with such dedication that she is unmatched in the jianghu. Unfortunately, Wusheng is terribly unlucky. When she is ten, she meets a charlatan who tells her that she will face a deadly calamity before turning twenty-one, and that she is destined to take a trip down the road to the Yellow Springs. At the time, Wusheng doesn't believe a word of it. It's pure nonsense. She even finds herself a formidable hero to serve as her bodyguard, and from then on believes she can live without a care to a ripe old age. Her life's ambition becomes growing old together with her bodyguard, their hair white and their faces covered in wrinkles. The bodyguard decides he can only indulge this shameless employer. In the end, he will walk the jianghu with her. But later, the bodyguard runs off, Wusheng somehow becomes a criminal and is hunted down, and she eventually does take that trip down the road to the Yellow Springs. Their first meeting at the Dried Spring, the Luo River Goddess's tears, the Peach Blossom Spring illusion, phantoms in the night sky, a beauty beneath the moon, and the end of the road to the Yellow Springs... The Great Master chapter of Zhuangzi says: “When a spring dries up, fish are stranded together on land, breathing moisture onto each other and keeping each other wet with their spit. Better that they forget one another in the rivers and lakes.” Do you regret entering the jianghu? Never.
