Wen Ci, the pampered little princess of the Wen family, sees her family fall into ruin and is forced into a political marriage with a frail young master who’s practically a walking medicine cabinet, to bring him good luck. He’s Ji Xiangsi, the third young master of the Ji family, a pervert rumored to suffer from a secret ailment.
On the wedding day, the entire Wen family cries as though they’re sending her off to a funeral, mourning the fact that she’ll soon be a widow in all but name.
Newlywed Ji Xiangsi: “Don’t even think about climbing into my bed. I’m not interested in you!” “I don’t like fake women like you.” “Want me to save your family’s company? Get down on your knees and beg.”
Later, Third Young Master Ji is the one kneeling on a durian. “Honey, can I come back to our room and sleep tonight?”
Wen Ci cradles her round belly and looks down her nose at him. “No. We have a generation gap!”
Ji Xiangsi, the “old man” just five years older than Wen Ci, begs softly, “Be good. Old men know how to cherish a woman.”
