The Metamorphosis: Selected Novels by Kafka

Nice! ! ! It is true that we cannot change the world, but we can change ourselves. If everyone has this awareness, the world will also change. Of course, this is just a fantasy of mine, because not everyone strives for freedom and has higher demands on themselves in order to gain more things, but this is not limited to, is there a problem? This can only show that existence and thinking, this pair of contradictory entities that are both opposite and unified, are not inherently contradictory. No matter how bad the world is, China in the future will still have beautiful ideals. It is ideals that make China better and better, not material things that make China better and better. Reform and opening up, economic construction, and national defense construction are just means.

It feels philosophical and interesting, and sometimes you can understand some life truths without having to understand anything. Generally speaking, it is not long, and you don't need to study word for word when reading it. Reading it blankly, I feel that life is indeed like this. I am waiting for the second read.

This book is very imaginative and the plot is very novel. What happened to Gregor in "The Metamorphosis" reminded me of Quasimodo in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." They are marginalized people in society and are not understood and accepted. I like the portrayal of human nature in the book, especially the reaction of the family after Gregor turns into a beetle, it is very real. This made me think more deeply about the relationship between people, which was very enlightening.
