After saving someone by chance, Tian Xue smugly asks him for a reward. She thinks they’ll never meet again, but fate’s red thread pulls them together once more. He turns out to be the Crown Prince! After they marry, his mistress keeps provoking her, his younger siblings come to pick fights, and she has to stay on guard against plots by his mother, the Empress Dowager. Why does he increasingly seem like a pitiful prince, unloved by both parents? Just when she has finally struggled her way toward a new life, trouble stirs again as the borderlands fall into turmoil. With truth and lies intertwined, how will she navigate the power games and help her husband claim the throne?
I have roughly read the beginning and the end. It is not the life-long pairing that everyone expected. In fact, in ancient times, three wives, four concubines, three palaces and six courtyards were normal. The ending is a happy ending. Overall, it is quite good. It is a very interesting work. It has received five stars.
