In Journey to the West, Pretending to Be Tang Sanzang

“I want the sky to never again shield my eyes! I want the earth to never again bury my heart! I want all living beings to understand what I mean! I want all the Buddhas to vanish into thin air!”

Chen Buzheng declared, brimming with passion.

“???” Jin Chanzi said. “You said it all. What am I supposed to say?”

“Just be a good disciple of the Buddha!”

“Disciples, let’s go!”

Taking Tang Seng’s place, Chen Buzheng set out on the journey west. The scriptures aren’t important. What matters is that I love the process of slaying demons and vanquishing evil. As long as it’s fun, that’s all that matters!
