Tales from the Han Dynasty

Liu Bang was just a petty hooligan and a middle-aged bachelor who liked flirting with widows. He didn't marry until he was forty, rebelled at forty-eight, and just six years later became emperor. Han Xin was nothing but a good-for-nothing who couldn't even support himself. When someone told him to crawl between their legs, he did. After enlisting, he spent his days guarding a gate, yet somehow went on to become commander-in-chief of the entire army and defeat Xiang Yu, the Hegemon-King of Western Chu. Fan Kuai was a dog butcher. Lu Wan loved cockfighting and mahjong. Zhou Bo was a suona player. Just look at them: the founding of the Han dynasty was practically a collective underdog comeback.
