Story Background:
The Yanhuang Continent held an unprecedented grand celebration to mark the 1,998th anniversary of victory in the war between immortals and demons.
But a fart from the Azure Dragon, one of the Four Saint Kings, tore open a wormhole, breaking the seal on the Asura Demon Venerable, who had been imprisoned for 1,998 years. The Demon Venerable's soul turned into lightning, passed through the wormhole, and descended upon a newborn named Yun Yu on Earth in a parallel universe.
Growing up, Yun Yu endured mockery for having been struck by lightning, living a carefree but goofy life. On his eighteenth birthday, however, he was ambushed by a “Skyfall” and dropped onto the Yanhuang Continent. There he met the chuunibyou spirit general Gu Ling, who mistook him for a lecher. After giving him a thorough beating, she took him back to the Beginner's Village.
When Yun Yu had a chance to escape, he instead helped an old woman who had fallen over. To his surprise, he was named the village's model young man and earned the right to be selected as a trainee spirit general. From then on, he set out to distinguish himself and earn the honor of becoming a spirit general, though in truth he hoped to use the legendary power to find a way home...
But things weren't so simple. Yun Yu carried far too many secrets and mysterious powers...
