This collection of short stories is amazing! The works of Maupassant, Chekhov and O. Henry are all very real, and it's like reading the stories of the people around you. Especially in "My Uncle Jules", the way Philip and his wife saw Jules reminded me of Ochumelov in "Chameleon". They are all realistic portrayals, allowing us to see the complexity of human nature. "What a surprise it would be if Yule was on this boat!" This sentence is really ironic, and it also makes me cherish true family and friendship even more.
