I think Schopenhauer's prejudice against women should essentially stem from the lifelong trauma caused by his disagreement with his mother. In that era, most women in that era did live dependent on men. Men made money and women spent it. Women's self-proclaimed value was indeed spent on men's money. But did he ever think about it? This is a problem of the times. Women have no self and can only rely on men. Men have obtained the emotional and physical benefits as well as the convenience of life and labor from women. Why not say this? In any case, he is biased and a bit over the top, but his thinking is based on real facts. Therefore, it is good to think about his works based on the era in which he lived and his personal experience. It can indeed enlighten his mind. I am grateful to Schopenhauer.
The content of this book is really good. The author Schopenhauer's philosophical views are unique and profound, and he can also use literary techniques to explain it, making philosophy no longer obscure and difficult to understand. I particularly like the book's views on women. He says that women have unique value in life, which I agree with very much. Moreover, this book is suitable for public reading and can help us improve our thinking depth. All in all, this is a great book worth reading!
