No evaluation is given because classics do not need the praise of secular people. When reading "Sand and Foam", don't use your brain to memorize it, just feel the surge in your heart.
The poem is so wise and shows a lot of philosophical thoughts. The poet's life was full of ups and downs, and he also suffered many separations when he joined the revolution. As a saying goes, people have two hearts, one heart is bleeding, and the other heart is meditating!
I particularly like a sentence in the book: "I am not ashamed to say it." This reminds me of Tom in "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", who is always brave enough to speak his mind. Gibran's words made me see the beauty and infinite possibilities in life, just like picking up beautiful shells on the beach. I will continue to read more of his works and feel his wisdom and warmth.
The writing is beautiful, philosophical and poetic.
I feel like I am kneeling down to read this book. It is so beautifully written [shy]
It is very philosophical and worth reading again and again.
