Ninefold

At the dawn of chaos in the Three Realms, the high god Yuan Ling destroyed the Demon Ancestor Dijiang. Afterward, countless demons dominated the lower world, dreaming of cultivating the Dao and ascending to become high gods. For a time, a hundred schools flourished, and a cultivation craze took hold…

But Fu Cheng, master of Xuanqing, the foremost of the hundred schools, encountered a destitute young woman while descending to the mortal realm in search of the beast-ant demon's whereabouts. “Drunk, I knew not that water was the sky; a boatful of dreams pressed down upon the river of stars.” Their meeting and growing understanding began there.

Then a tragedy shook the world: all four great sects of the Xuanmen were wiped out, and Qinghe's identity and Fu Cheng's true form were revealed. Overnight, the eleven members of Xuanqing vanished, their fates unknown. Only the Chengying Sword remained by Qinghe's side, with her Eighth Senior Brother, Feiyu, trapped inside it.
