Xiao Hong (1911-1942), a famous modern Chinese female writer, was born in Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province. Dissatisfied with the feudal family and arranged marriage, he ran away from home in 1930 and lived with Xiao Jun in 1932. In 1933, he and Xiao Jun published their first collection of works "Travel" at their own expense. With the help and support of Lu Xun, he published his famous work "The Field of Life and Death" in 1935. In 1936, in order to get rid of his mental distress, he traveled east to Japan and wrote the prose "Lonely Life" and the long poem "Grains of Sand" in Tokyo. He arrived in Hong Kong with Duanmu Hongliang in 1940, and later published the novella "Mabele" and the famous novel "The Story of Hulan River". He died of illness in Hong Kong on January 22, 1942, at the age of 31.

I especially liked the scene between the heroine and Lang Hua in the small restaurant. They got along so naturally, which made me feel the sweetness of being in love. However, I don't really like people crammed into one table in a restaurant, it feels a bit messy. Overall, this is a very good book and worth reading!
