This book is a prose written by Zhu Ziqing.
Zhu Ziqing (1898-1948), whose original name was Zihua and whose nickname was Qiushi, was later renamed Ziqing and whose courtesy name was Peixian. An outstanding modern essayist, poet, scholar, and democratic fighter. Born in Haizhou, Jiangsu (now Lianyungang City), he later settled in Yangzhou. His prose is simple and meticulous, clear, meaningful and melancholy, his language is concise, his writing is clear and beautiful, and he is full of true feelings.

The words are beautiful but I don't seem to understand what they mean.
This book is like a dear friend telling me the story of the Qinhuai River. I like the description of the night view of the Qinhuai River in the book, which makes me feel like I am immersed in the scene. The characters in Zhu Ziqing's works are also lifelike, especially the songs floating on the river, which made me feel the romance and mystery of the Qinhuai River. This book is beautifully written, and reading it is like admiring a painting, which makes people intoxicated.
This is the first prose article I have read. When I see familiar words again, I really want to cry. The bustling lights of the small building, the cold moon and the Qinhuai River are like the tangled emotions in my heart. On one side is the worldly desire for geisha, and on the other side is the mentality of a scholar who is independent from the world. People must always remain noble, but the combination of being worldly and noble is a complete person. Just like these historical monuments, scenery and emotions are indispensable beauty.
