Popular Historical Romances of China (11 Volumes)

It is a very systematic historical book that covers the cultural heritage of China. Those who are not well educated may not know much about this gentleman, but this long work is really surprising to read. You can also listen to the book to supplement your poor historical knowledge!

I once read Mr. Cai's "Popular Romance of Qing History" in high school and admired him greatly. The history of the country is mostly recorded by the literati in the temples about the history of the previous dynasties and the early period of the current dynasty. The former dynasties are mostly criticized and the current dynasty is mostly praised, which is unfair. It makes the history of the country confusing and confusing, and it is difficult to distinguish the true from the false, which only makes it more difficult for later generations to verify. ... Mr. Cai Dongfan practiced medicine, taught, and worked as a commoner. It can be said that he devoted his whole life to writing the history of China from the Qin Emperor to the Republic of China (like Cao Xueqin who died before finishing the history of the Republic of China). He is the first person to truly write Chinese folk history since Sima Qian's "Historical Records". For this reason, Mr. Cai is immortal. His articles mostly write about wars, killings, conspiracies, intrigues, and less about warmth and romance. The truth of history is this... Although Mr. Cai is named Romance, it is similar to a history book. He is the first person to write history in China since the Republic of China🤗

On average, I can watch it once a day, and it takes about three or four years to finish it. It is really not easy for Mr. Cai. The content is okay and basically accessible. After reading it, I can have a systematic framework of Chinese history. However, it seems that there are too many descriptions of conquests and hegemony in the book, and less about the grassroots aspects of people's livelihood.

Mr. Cai Dongfan practiced medicine, taught, and was a commoner. It can be said that he devoted his whole life to writing the history of China from the Qin Emperor to the Republic of China. He was the first person to truly write Chinese folk history since Sima Qian's "Historical Records". For this reason, Mr. Cai is immortal. This article mostly records wars, killings, conspiracies, intrigues, but less tenderness and romantic affairs, large and small, real things. This is the truth of history in this book. It is a must-read historical work for every Chinese who wants to understand history!

This collection covers a large number of popular novels, which can be a good supplement to historical knowledge for some people with poor historical knowledge. But because it is a popular novel, it may not be completely true history, and it may be slightly different from the real history. The author was a writer during the Republic of China. Modern people may think that some of his ideas are too conservative and his praise and criticism are unfair. But judging from the perspective of romance, this book is definitely one of the best of its kind. A very interesting history book that attracts readers more than a history book.

The author Cai Dongfan is really amazing. He writes history so interestingly that I never felt bored while reading it. Moreover, the storyline in the book is very attractive. I felt as if I had traveled to ancient times and saw the lives and struggles of those historical figures. I highly recommend this book!

The language is humorous and relaxed. Although it is historical but not redundant, the flowing words can be "listened to" the book without having to consider every word, which saves your eyesight.

Very good history book

Classic, timeless

Mr. Cai's writing is good and wonderful.
