In their third life, she finally became the Demon King, while he slept in the Pure Pool of the demon realm to restore his soul. Unexpectedly, a great demon seized his body and, cruel by nature, brought the Three Realms to the brink of destruction. Her love was what awakened his consciousness.

Yet the Buddha condemned them, and the demon nature in his heart surged forth. Through three lifetimes of love's trials, all he wanted was to keep her safe. He would rather betray the Tathagata than betray her.
