"Drinking Water Ci" is a collection of poems written by Nalan Xingde, a poet in the early Qing Dynasty. The name of "Drinking Water Ci" comes from the Southern Song Dynasty Yue Ke's "History of the Dragon's Mian Haihui Diagram" "Like a fish drinking water, it knows whether it is cold or warm." Nalan therefore named his collection of words "Drinking Water Words".
The poem "Drinking Water" was originally called "Drinking Water". In the 17th year of Kangxi's reign (1678), Gu Zhenguan was commissioned to publish "Drinking Water" in Wuzhong. These two copies were engraved during Xingde's lifetime, and neither of them has been published today. It is only known that "The Poems on Drinking Water" contains not many poems, only more than a hundred poems. Presumably, "The Poems on Side Mao" will not contain many poems. It is now collectively referred to as Nalan Ci. Later, someone added and filled in the gaps in the two collections of poems, totaling 342 poems. They were edited into one volume called "Nalan Ci". In other words, "Drinking Water Ci" strictly can only be regarded as part of Nalan Ci. The handed down "Nalan Ci" enjoyed a high reputation in society at that time and was highly praised by literati and bachelors. It became an outstanding representative of the Ci community of that era.

I especially like his delicate depiction of emotions. In this collection of words, I don't particularly dislike the characters, but I deeply admire the author's talent. It is rare for him to express his emotions so tactfully and touchingly. For example, this sentence is excerpted from the book: "Start at dawn, protect spring sleep. Extraordinarily delicate and lazy, only self-pity." In just a few words, a person's state of mind is vividly displayed. I really recommend you to read this book and feel the talent of Nalan Xingde.
Every family competes to sing Nalan Ci,
Love him like the bright moon is good, and being haggard is also relevant
