Xia Ba was a little crayfish. She worked hard at cultivating so she could take human form as soon as possible, go have fun in the human world, and look for her irresponsible parents. Little did she know that a fierce anglerfish would suddenly appear in the calm sea and tell her a shortcut to taking human form. She fought tooth and nail to transform, only to discover that the human world was full of complicated troubles.
As she spoke, Xia Ba walked over to him, picked up the teapot on the table, and poured herself a cup of tea. Just as she was about to take a sip, Gui Rui stopped her hand. She looked up at him in confusion, only to meet his gloomy gaze. Her heart gave a nervous flutter as he suddenly smiled. “Indeed. I suppose you don't want to stay with me either.”
“What do you mean, stay with you or not? Gui Rui, what's gotten into you today?” Xia Ba felt uneasy at the sight of him, and no longer felt like drinking her tea. She pulled her hand free, a little awkwardly.
Gui Rui suddenly moved closer, circling her in his arms. Then he reached out with his beautiful hands and brushed her hair aside, lowering his voice to murmur softly in her ear, “It doesn't matter. I won't let you leave anyway.”
