Synopsis

The Memorial on Public Security was a memorial written by Hai Rui, a renowned Ming dynasty official, to the Jiajing Emperor, Zhu Houcong. In this famous memorial, Hai Rui boldly spoke out about the failings of the officialdom and the ruling class's culpability. He also urged the ruler to correct his mistakes and carry out reforms in pursuit of "great order throughout the realm."

Looking for Books About Upright Officials and Candid Ministers, Any Recommendations?

I'm looking for books similar to A Different World's Great Ming: I Became a Sage by Giving Up a Hundred Lives. Please recommend stories with a protagonist who's clever and calculating, or one who stays true to their ideals. I'm also looking for well-written, logical stories with a red theme.
