It was written by Cheng Shanzhi (1880-1942), a modern Chinese scholar and novelist. It was published by "New Jiangsu Daily" in 1933 and published by Heilongjiang People in 1997. It was republished by the publishing house and included in the "Water Margin Novel Collection" series, which was combined into one volume with "Water Margin" and "Water Margin Zhongzhuan"; "The Residual Water Margin" novel has a complete content structure, echoing the first seventy chapters of "Water Margin", and its ending also corresponds to the record in official history that Song Jiang and 36 others were captured by Zhang Shuye
