He is the only prince of a different surname in the Han Yi Kingdom. Outwardly mild-mannered but inwardly shrewd, he is the commander known as the Unscrupulous Marshal, leader of the mysterious organization known as the Unscrupulous Ones. He secretly investigates cases at the current emperor’s command, boasts an illustrious record, and has admirers all over the realm, yet remains unmarried.
She is the adopted daughter of the greatest coroner in the land. Skilled at examining and preparing corpses for burial, she played with human bones while other children played with rattles. While others kept company with the living, she spent her time among the dead. She and her senior brother depend on each other, and she travels far and wide in search of an antidote to corpse poison.
Scene One:
A certain man lay comfortably on the bed and said, “Lian Qiao, you need to learn to respect men. You can’t go around threatening them with a knife all day!”
“I only respect corpses lying in coffins! Hua Chenli, get off my bed!”
Scene Two:
A certain man was about to marry someone else, so a certain woman eagerly came to his home to offer congratulations and even volunteered to do the groom’s makeup.
The man asked, “Is this really groom’s makeup? Why does it look so familiar?”
The woman smiled seductively. “The Unscrupulous Marshal is always visiting the funeral parlor to collect bodies, so of course it looks familiar! This is burial makeup!”
The female protagonist is so childish and the male protagonist is so glib. After reading dozens of chapters about solving crimes, there are not as many narrations in the hearts of the male and female protagonists 🤦
