Chinese History

The original name of this book is "Self-study and Practical Vernacular History of the Country", which is Mr. Lu Simian's first general history work. It was first published by the Shanghai Commercial Press in 1923 and has been reprinted many times. It was the most widely circulated general history of China during the Republic of China. The whole book is divided into five different periods according to the changes in Chinese history and society: ancient history, medieval history, modern history, modern history, and modern history. It describes in detail the history of China from ancient times to the eleventh year of the Republic of China.
