Before the Beginning of Spring

"Before the Beginning of Spring" contains thirty-three articles by Zhou Zuoren, most of which were written between August 1944 and January 1945. First published by Shanghai Taiping Book Company in August 1945. Zhou Zuoren's diary on February 8, 1945 said: "After editing "Before the Beginning of Spring", only three or four articles have not been taken back, and it can be compiled." On March 14, it was said: "Send the manuscript of "Before the Beginning of Spring" to Taiping Book Company in the morning." In August 1945, the book was published by Shanghai Taiping Book Company. The thirty-three articles in this article, except for "About Sending the Stove" and "Preface to Talking After the Storm", "Preface to Talking after Holding the Candle" and "Preface to Talking about New Poems" in "Several Inscriptions and Postscripts", were all written between August 1944 and January 1945, that is, after "Bitter Mouth and Sweet Mouth".
