The Three Character Classic is a traditional Chinese enlightenment textbook.
The "Three Character Classic" draws on classic materials, including literature, history, philosophy, astronomy and geography, human ethics, loyalty, filial piety, justice, etc. Of traditional Chinese culture, and its core ideas include "benevolence, righteousness, sincerity, respect, and filial piety."
While reciting the "Three Character Classic", one can understand common sense, traditional Chinese studies and historical stories, as well as the principles of life and doing things contained in the stories.
In terms of format, the three-character text is catchy. About the author Wang Yinglin (1223-1296) was an official and historian of the Southern Song Dynasty.
His courtesy name was Bohou, his nickname was Shenning Jushi, and he was also named Houzhai. He was a native of Yin County, Qingyuan Prefecture (now Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province).
Wang Yinglin, Hu Sansheng and Huang Zhen were also known as "the three major schools of Eastern Zhejiang during the Song and Yuan Dynasties".
He was the scholar Zhu Xi, and he dabbled in classics, history, astronomy and geography. He was familiar with the anecdote system and was good at textual research.
He wrote quite a lot in his life, with more than 20 kinds and more than 600 volumes.
